OUR MISSION
The Promise We Keep
We Die Twice
The first time when we take our final breath.
The second time when someone speaks our name for the last time.
In 2020, Daniel Yaassoub walked through an Edmonton cemetery and saw what too many Canadians miss: weathered stones, fading names, forgotten heroes who once answered their country's call.
Working alongside the Edmonton Police Cadets, Dan started something simple but profound—cleaning veterans' grave markers. Not to make them look new. But to make them visible again. To speak their names. To delay that second death.
What began with buckets, brushes, and a handful of volunteers has become a movement.
We've now restored over 22,000 headstones across the Greater Edmonton Area, with each one representing a Canadian who served, who sacrificed, who deserves to be remembered.
Our goal is bold: to ensure every Canadian veteran's headstone, in every cemetery across this country, receives the dignity it—and they—have earned.
When you clean a veteran's headstone and say their name aloud, you keep their memory alive just a little longer.

Stories from the Field
Stories from the Field
We brought our kids expecting to spend two hours cleaning stones. What we didn't expect was the conversation in the car afterward. Our 9-year-old asked about war, sacrifice, and what it means to serve. That's the real impact of this work.

I served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 12 years. When I clean the headstone of someone who served before me, it's not volunteering— it's completing the circle of service. It's saying 'thank you' to those who paved the way.

I was 16 at my first restoration event. Now I'm 21 and I've never missed one. Some of these veterans died at 18. They gave their tomorrow for our today. The least I can do is give them an afternoon.
